SOA PARTICIPATES IN PM’S ENVIRONMENT DAY SPEECH LIVE STREAMING

A plethora of programs marked the observance of the World Environment Day at Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) here this week.

Around 50 participants, including faculty members and students, attended the live streaming of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s address on the occasion organised in the university by the Odisha state office of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) on June 5. The theme of World Enviornment Day 2021 theme was “Ecosystem Restoration”.

The university’s NSS Wing and the SOA Wellness Centre jointly conducted an on-line debate competition on the theme: ‘India’s Green Future’ in three languages- English, Hindi and Odia. Prof. Jyoti Ranjan Das, Dean, Students’ Welfare and Prof. Nachiketa K. Sharma, Director, University Outreach Program and conducted the programs. Dr. Hiranmaya Nanda, faculty, SNIL was the coordinator of this program.
