To mark International Women\u2019s Day, Prosocio Sports & Games Federation, along with AFA is going to organise \u2018Women\u2019s Football Day\u2019 to showcase the role and contribution of women in sports in the state. Women from various fields, from eminent professionals to successful homemakers will participate in this unique tournament scheduled on Sunday evening (March 14).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Department of sports and youth services is also on board to celebrate this momentous occasion.\u00a0This will be the first of its kind initiative to honour the contribution of women in sports in the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is a great experience to see women in the capital city of Bhubaneswar, coming together to play football in Kalinga Stadium with huge enthusiasm and interest. Let\u2019s join with them to encourage and support the sisterhood of sportswomen spirit. Football and Woman the two are not seen together most often. That\u2019s only a stereo type that we must break as a society. Such is the attempt of our organisation that has gathered women under various categories to play football to celebrate the sportswomanship which has not been promoted sufficiently in the country so far. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
