{"id":1870,"date":"2023-06-05T13:26:26","date_gmt":"2023-06-05T13:26:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/utkalaage.in\/?p=1870"},"modified":"2023-06-05T13:26:26","modified_gmt":"2023-06-05T13:26:26","slug":"soa-15th-in-country-in-nirf-ranking-2023-maintains-pre-eminent-position","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/utkalaage.in\/?p=1870","title":{"rendered":"SOA 15th IN COUNTRY IN NIRF RANKING 2023, MAINTAINS PRE-EMINENT POSITION"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Siksha \u2018O\u2019 Anusandhan (SOA) Deemed\nto be University here has maintained its pre-eminent position to be placed 15<sup>th<\/sup>\namong universities in the country in the National Institutional Ranking\nFramework (NIRF) rankings for 2023 released by Union minister of state for\nEducation and External Affairs, Mr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh in New Delhi on\nMonday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; This is the\nfirst time that SOA, a multi-disciplinary Deemed to be University, has broken\ninto the select list of top 15 institutions of higher learning while being\nranked 26<sup>th<\/sup> in the overall category jumping four places from the 30<sup>th<\/sup>\nposition it occupied last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SOA, which was ranked 16<sup>th<\/sup>\nin the country in 2022, has continuously finished in the list of top 25 institutions\nof higher learning in the country for eight years since the inception of the\nNIRF rankings by the Ministry of Education in 2016. Of these, SOA had been\nranked within the top 20 universities on six occasions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; SOA also\nimproved its rank in Medical Sciences, Dental Sciences and Law this time. In\nMedical Sciences, it improved its position from 18<sup>th<\/sup> in 2022 to 16<sup>th<\/sup>\nin the country while in Law it finished at 8<sup>th<\/sup> (9<sup>th<\/sup> in\n2022) and in Dental Sciences it has been placed 9<sup>th<\/sup> (10<sup>th<\/sup>\nin 2022). In the overall, university, medical sciences, dental sciences and law\ncategories, SOA has finished at the top of the list in Odisha in 2023. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The university\u2019s faculty of\nengineering and technology continued to occupy the 27<sup>th<\/sup> position\nwhich it got in 2022 to be placed second in the state behind NIT, Rourkela. The\nuniversity\u2019s faculty of Management Sciences, which was ranked for the first\ntime in NIRF this year, was placed 57<sup>th<\/sup> in the country to finish\nsecond in the state behind XIIM University. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The latest NIRF rankings showed\nthat in the eastern region, SOA was positioned number one in Medical Sciences\nand Dental Sciences and number two in law. In the university category, it was\nplaced third in the region while in overall category, it was placed fourth.
