Ms. Mohapatra, wife of the deceased,\nwho was present at the press conference, said her husband had earlier wished\nthat his organs should be donated. \u201cWe also thought if his organs could help\nsave the lives of four other persons, why not go for it,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Dash said the hospital had\ndecided to provide employment to Ms. Mohapatra for her bold and selfless\ndecision. \u201cHer decision is a trendsetter and we have to try for mindset shift\nin the society as regards organ donation,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Brig (Dr.) Biraj Mohan Mishra, SUMUM\u2019s Chief of Medical\nServices, also hailed Ms. Mohapatra\u2019s gesture while thanking her family members\nfor their support in donating the organs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
