Ms. Saswati Das, Vice-President of Siksha \u2018O\u2019 Anusandhan (SOA), has been bestowed with the \u2018Femina Achievers East\u2019 honour for 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms. Das was presented the \u2018Excellence in Inspirational Leadership Award\u2019 at a program organised by \u2018Femina\u2019, the oldest women\u2019s English magazine, at Kolkata on November 15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Andrew Fleming, British Deputy High Commissioner to East and North East India and Mr. Nicolas Facino, Director, Alliance Francaise du Bengale presented the award to SOA\u2019s Public Relations Officer Ms. Subhadarshini Mishra who accepted it on behalf of Ms. Das.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was organised to recognize and honour women who have been working to bring about a positive change in the society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms. Das has been inspiring students of SOA Deemed to be University to step forward and work for the less privileged section of children in the society by educating them. \u2018Jaago\u2019, an organization functioning in SOA, has been attracting large number of its students who are utilizing their spare time to teach slum children who can\u2019t afford tuition. Supported by SOA, \u2018Jaago\u2019 has turned into a movement inculcating a sense of duty in the students who are stepping forward to help the society.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
