Siksha \u2018O\u2019 Anusandhan (SOA), a\nname to reckon with in the realm of healthcare and professional education in\nthe east, was thrown open to the public on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The hospital was dedicated to the public\nin the presence of Odisha Chief Minister Mr. Naveen Patnaik, Union minister for\nHome, Mr. Amit Shah and Union minister for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Steel,\nMr. Dharmendra Pradhan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"588\" procedures, diagnostic imaging, maternity care and\nrehabilitation services for a broad range of medical conditions in over 30\nspecialties with each specialty led by an experienced team of medical care\nprofessionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img hospital as world class which\nwas one of the biggest in the eastern region. SUMUM\u2019s CEO, Dr. Swetapadma Dash welcomed the guests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; SUMUM, boasting of healthcare\ninfrastructure of international standard, would offer next-generation treatment\nin patient-focused and technology-enhanced settings to the people of the\nregion. The hospital has 14 Modular OTs and dedicated trauma ICUs besides Pet\nCT Scan, 3 Tesla MRI and HDR Bravos Brachy Therapy needed for advanced cancer\ntreatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe state-of-the-art hospital will strive to provide an\necosystem of healing with high quality care and safety features besides a wide\nspectrum of clinical education and research opportunities,\u201d its CEO Dr. Dash\nsaid adding the new facility would build a bridge of trust with the community\nit served by bringing in transparency and inculcating a culture of empathy and\ncompassion combined with coordination and competency. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;The new hospital would\nhave \u2018Centres of Excellence\u2019 involving disciplines of Cardiac Sciences, Neuro\nSciences, Critical Care and Pulmonology, Gastro Sciences, Joint Replacement and\nOrthopaedics, Renal Sciences and Onco Sciences, she said.\n\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; SOA,\nwhich runs a Deemed to be University (ranked 24<sup>th<\/sup> in the country), with\nnine degree granting institutes under it and a student strength of more than\n10,000, is well known for the Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital\u2014its\nfaculty of medical sciences\u2014which is an established and most popular healthcare\ndestinations in the region.
