{"id":724,"date":"2020-05-26T10:55:53","date_gmt":"2020-05-26T10:55:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/utkalaage.in\/?p=724"},"modified":"2020-05-26T10:55:56","modified_gmt":"2020-05-26T10:55:56","slug":"91-of-iter-graduates-receive-excellent-job-offers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/utkalaage.in\/?p=724","title":{"rendered":"91% OF ITER GRADUATES RECEIVE EXCELLENT JOB OFFERS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> The Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), faculty of engineering and technology of SOA Deemed to be University, has maintained its dominant position in the domain of technical education with 91 per cent placement for its 2019-20 batch of students involving major companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Thirty per cent of the students have\nreceived job offers from Day Zero&#8212; first day of recruitment&#8212;high paying\ncompanies with an average annual salary of Rs. 6.5 lakh and above. Altogether\n104 companies visited ITER extending job offers to 2264 students this season\nwith the highest salary offered being Rs. 31 lakh per annum. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; ITER, an AICTE approved institution\nwhich was ranked 32<sup>nd<\/sup> in the country among engineering colleges by\nthe National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2019, &nbsp;had received the highest number of offers in\neastern India from major companies like Microsoft and Infosys. Similarly,\nCognizant came up with the highest number of offers to ITER students in Odisha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; ITER\u2019s engineering programmes have\nbeen accredited by NBA as also by the prestigious Accreditation Board for\nEngineering and Technology (ABET) of USA. The institute got another feather on\nits cap when it was placed in the 601 to 800 category of the Times Higher\nEducation World University Ranking 2020 while its Computer Science programme\nalso figured in the 600 plus category. SOA was ranked 24<sup>th<\/sup> in the\ncountry among universities by NIRF in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"432\" src=\"http:\/\/utkalaage.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/placement-a-1024x432.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"726\" data-link=\"http:\/\/utkalaage.in\/?attachment_id=726\" class=\"wp-image-726\" srcset=\"https:\/\/utkalaage.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/placement-a-1024x432.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/utkalaage.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/placement-a-300x126.jpg 300w, https:\/\/utkalaage.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/placement-a-768x324.jpg 768w, https:\/\/utkalaage.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/placement-a.jpg 1141w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Incidentally, ITER was one of the only three institutes in\nOdisha visited by Microsoft this season, the other two being IIT, Bhubaneswar\nand NIT, Rourkela, for campus recruitment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;The season which began with global brands like\nMicrosoft and Amazon stepping into the ITER campus in June, continued with Day\nZero slot hiring by companies like Rayputa Robotics, Informatica, Deloitte, Tek\nSystems, Capgemini Digital, Infosys Digital, Mu Sigma, Robert Bosch, MAQ\nSoftware, Global Logic, OPTUM, Reliance Industries, SIGMOID, ODESSA Inc,\nValuelabs, Kloudgin and Hyundai Mobis with an annual average pay package of Rs.\n6.5 lakh and above. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Day One hiring witnessed heavyweight companies like Infosys, Wipro and Cognizant making 1164 offers which is considered to be the best in eastern India in terms of student intake ratio. The recruitment continued with other major companies like Capgemini, IBM, MINDTREE, NCR Corp, IBS Software, Expansion, Sear Holding, Ramky, Infogain, Jade Global, CGI, Voltas, DXC Technology, ITC Infotech, Hexaware, Value Momentum and HP visiting the campus. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SOA, known for its excellent teaching methodology and academic excellence, has already launched an action plan to counter the challenges arising out of the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak.
